ANISOTROPIC FILTERING
A method of enhancing the image quality of textures on surfaces of tessellation-rendered graphics that are at oblique viewing angles with respect to the viewer. This method is used to improve the viewer’s perception of depth in a rendered frame.
ANTIALIASING
An algorithm to remove or reduce the number of jagged edges created during rendering. Rendering a 2D frame from a 3D model using tessellation can cause artifacts and imperfections where polygons intersect; these are commonly referred to as jaggies.
